Qualifications
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. Excluding marijuana.
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Four years heavy trailer, truck equipment repair and maintenance experience
Technical or trade school training in the field of diesel mechanics desirable
Valid AK driver's license
Class A CDL w/HazMat endorsement desirable
Must possess comprehensive tool kit to perform the job
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Competent level performance of M3 job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities
Advanced knowledge of engine and electrical troubleshooting
Able to use (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer)
Experience in the TMT program and PeopleNet software
Solid understanding in computer and part diagnostics
Advanced knowledge of emissions troubleshooting and repair
Responds to strategic direction, takes ownership for own actions, completes tasks on time or communicates alternate plans
Treats people with kindness; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written, and listening skills
Working Environment
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is often exposed to a variety of extreme weather and temperature conditions and fluctuations, such as cold, heat, snow, wind, rain, etc.
