Sanitation Worker at Kettle Cuisine

Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE

To completely clean and sanitize food manufacturing facility to USDA standards in order to ensure proper food safety standards for product safety to our customers/consumers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Clean all equipment in facility- including both food contact and non-food contact surfaces: packaging, cooking and facility equipment using different chemical and cleaning techniques.

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough sanitation.

  • Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

  • Adhere to personal safety and chemical safety standards.

  • All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF 2000- Global Food Safety Initiative.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

LEVEL 1:


  • Perform all the janitorial duties

  • Be able to clean and operate trash compactor, compost compactor, barrel crusher and cardboard compactor

LEVEL 2:


  • Be able to perform all job assignments of Level 1 above.

  • Perform all equipment cleaning in the plant for all the departments

  • Participate in preparing equipment for pre operational inspection level

  • Able to complete tasks with desirable speed and accuracy

LEVEL 3:


  • Be able to perform all job assignments of Level 2 above.

  • Perform all the post operational inspections and pre-operational inspections.

  • Be able to work all the functions of tanks operations

  • Perform all the data entry on the daily basis

  • Be able to perform the tasks of Sanitation Lead in his/her absence.

JOB SCOPE - This position encounters regular and recurring work situations and there is a low degree of complexity. The position operates from specific directions and instructions under close supervision. Errors in this position can have a dramatic effect on food product integrity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -


  • Prior Sanitation experience preferred.

  • USDA Facilities Sanitation knowledge preferred.


  • Hear and follow verbal instructions.

  • Read, understand and follow verbal and written directions.
