Provides support to Transportation Departments in each distribution center to maintain records and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations relating to Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
DOT pre-employment adjudications:Review Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP), Clearinghouse records and employment application.
Perform MVR assessment on each driver applicant.
Work with Workforce Integrity to ensure applicant has cleared background and drug testing.
Assist with pre-employment Driver verifications with TPA Background vendor.
Review and approve DOT physicals.
Expedite confirmation to Talent Acquisition of Driver candidates meeting company standards.
Complete Driver Status change form with Projected Start date and upload all pre-hire documents into Fleetworthy Comply, to start DQ file for the locations.
Work with TA to provide SAP paperwork and retains documents on all non-negative results for applicants.
Coordinators will upload all documents to SharePoint site, for all applicant denied employment that failed MVR assessment.
Ensure application and all applicable pre-hire documents are current and compliant within 30 days of start.
Track and report results of new hire process.
Perform Fleet Safety tasks as directed by Fleet Safety Managers.
Tracking of all Fleet Safety required trainings.
Performs other relevant job duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Experience in an office setting or related support position
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Detail oriented
Strong human relations skills
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
Microsoft Office skills, ie.: Excel and Word
Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
Some travel may be required
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
