Purchases materials and schedules deliveries in accordance with requirements and in support of all operational departments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchases and schedules delivery of materials and supplies to support company operations with an uninterrupted flow of quality materials.
Achieves financial goals by negotiating purchase contracts and maintaining inventory investment according to Corporate objectives.
Identifies and recommends suppliers by investigating potential suppliers, evaluating parts, equipment and materials with regard to availability and defined Corporate quality standards; develops reliable alternate sources of supply.
Supports the development of new designs by staying abreast of general market conditions and maintaining a repository of information and knowledge from suppliers regarding new materials and processes.
Contributes to team effort and support of manufacturing and engineering activities by offering ideas, suggestions, feedback, constructive criticism, etc., to the operation and direction of the procurement activity.
Develops and maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, participating in professional societies, achieving applicable certifications.
Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENT:
Education including an Associate’s Degree in Business or related field.
