At Ethos Biosciences, we offer products and services through American Bionostica for lateral flow products, Astral Diagnostics for histology and hematology stains and reagents, Astral Rx for pharmaceutical formulations, and Exocell for research and clinical nephrology assays. Our operations and areas of expertise allows us to seamlessly deliver contract development and cGMP manufacturing services.

Ethos Biosciences is seeking a Scientist I for our ABI/Exocell department. Responsibilities: This hands-on laboratory position is responsible for all aspects of the timely and quality-focused production of ABI/Exocell products. In addition, this position may be involved in research and development of new products, or application support.


  • Production

- Receive relevant job requests and maintain Vicinity/GP records.

- Monitor inventory of lab reagents and supplies; submit requests as appropriate

- In cooperation with other production personnel, produce established products, following current ISO procedures.

- Perform in-process and preliminary QC testing prior to release for final testing.


  • Write / update ISO documents as necessary.

  • Periodically evaluate the quality of finished goods.

  • Evaluate alternate raw material suppliers and new raw material lots.

  • Integrate newly developed products into the manufacturing system.

  • Scale-up processes as required.

  • Train personnel on laboratory and production procedures.

  • Assist with technical service, troubleshooting and applications support as necessary.

  • Investigate and recommend equipment replacement / addition.

  • Can participate in product development projects as a team member.

  • Maintain laboratory work area.

  • Maintain equipment.

Education, Training and Experience: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry or related scientific field, a minimum of two years work experience in a lab, and general, broad-based scientific knowledge. Specific production experience with lateral flow devices or ELISA is a plus. Superior laboratory skills and proficiency with Excel are essential. The person filling this position must be a self-motivated and organized critical thinker, with good interpersonal and leadership skills. Product and application-specific training will be provided.
