Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Senior Manager, Internal Communications for Senior Leaders located in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX.  The senior manager will own the communications programs that educate, and engage the top ~400 leaders of the company.

What a typical day looks like:

• Partner with executive leaders to identify, shape and deliver impactful content to inform, empower and engage our Senior Leaders. The focus will be on business, operations and functional strategies, as well as change management and effective leadership skills.


• Drive and own a holistic communications approach, delivering a communications plan including messaging, positioning, and tactical plans.


• Identify and prioritize key themes and concepts, partner with SMEs to create storylines and content, create deliverables (videos, memos, events), publish, schedule and host events, survey, analyze feedback and adjust plans.


• Ensure communications are strategically maximized for impact and relevance with thoughtful planning, timing, consolidation, and creative delivery of content.


• Work in very close alignment and partnership with the rest of the internal communications team (including corporate news and editorial; culture, HR and IT communications) to align on content and storytelling, thought leadership, key audience segmentation and effective channel management.


• Deliver information and engage with Senior Leaders in multiple formats (memos, infographics, videos, webinars, events, presentations, etc.)


• Partner with regional communications for maximum impact.


• Deliver communications programs with speed, quality and clarity

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and communications planning skills


• Excellent oral, listening, and decision-making skills


• Outstanding project management with focused attention to detail


• Solid business acumen, sound executive judgement, and the ability to effectively interact and engage with the most senior levels of a global organization


• Proven ability to think strategically and drive execution across multiple channels and content delivery modes


• Creativity, speed, and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment


• Effective, engaging team leader and a team-player who enjoys collaborating and can also thrive as a self-starter


• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time


• Should thrive on delivering strategic as well as tactical communications, equally comfortable with Excel (project management) and PowerPoint (presentations).


• Should have the curiosity to understand the business and audience, the presence and confidence to be part of the senior leadership of the company, the humility to roll up their sleeves and handle details, the drive to own the program, and the energy to be part of a fun team!


• 10+ years of communications experience in a global organization


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing


• Communications experience with executives a big plus
