B.Yond, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer - RAN in the following area(s): Redmond, WA.

What you will do...

Primary Skills
 

Responsible for RAN design and network architecture. Review schematic diagram and provide feedback Issuance of Bill of Material (BoM) needed for the project build Review Network Design Requirements (NDR) document and contribute to its development as needed. Review Test Object List (TOL) document and contribute to its development as needed. Review and contribute to the project plan and dependencies Work with vendor-specific (Ericsson & Nokia) network management and configuration systems and release documentation for cellular technologies (5G, LTE/VoLTE) and defining KPI’s as relevant. Manage BoM with vendors Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco & CommScope. Reporting to Management on overall RAN design, network architecture and RAN teamwork items.

Secondary Skills

Provide security guidance and develop detailed plans for configuring, testing and upgrading RAN network elements as well as carry out associated hands-on tasks. Duties may include but not limited to product & feature performance analysis, KPI analysis and evaluation of new product and SW releases. Ability to conduct feature testing (perform tests, perform test calls, setup test scenarios) of 5G/LTE/VoLTE technologies in lab/field using proper tools and analyzing the data accordingly using proper tools. Work experience resolving RF network issues; performing root-cause analysis and monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization using different tools. Support Testing and Fix verification on Software patches/correction loads. Ability to perform 5G Massive MIMO and Beamforming testing and troubleshooting. Debugging and analyzing VoLTE, LTE and 5G NR logs. Ability to perform functional testing for 5G attach, adding NR, IRAT Handover, 5G NR with VOLTE, interoperability testing, etc.  and 5G data performance testing such as latency and UL/ DL throughput. Attain a detailed understanding of vendor-specific key performance indicator (KPI) and operational metric calculations and validation of calculated outputs.

The Skills and Background You Will Bring...

• Work experience on Overall Lab RAN design and network architecture LTE/VoLTE with different infrastructure providers and/or operator. Ericsson & Nokia are a must to have.


• Good understanding of 5GNR technology.


• Knowledge in IP Addresses requirements, assignments, and IP routing. Knowledge in using routers, IPX, Firewall (FW), DNS, DRA, and HSS.


• Proficiency in fundamentals 3GPP specifications, LTE/5G, IMS call flows, the SIP protocol.


• Proficient troubleshooting issues for 5G/VoLTE and CA.
