Duties and Responsibilities
Follow all safety protocols and conduct safety and other training as required.
Set-up and operate equipment to process a variety of plastics and meet all development and customer sample order requirements per operation schedules.
Operate pilot scale extruders, thermoformers, injection molders and secondary fabricators, etc.
Conduct raw material preparation, internal and external sample shipment, and inventory control.
Maintain processing conditions, testing results, and all other documentation per industry standards.
Support new product design and process development.
Provide trouble-shooting techniques for processing various plastics.
Assist maintenance and repairs to pilot plant equipment when needed.
Provide technical assistance for the testing lab as needed.
Perform other tasks at the Innovation Center with fellow teammates.
Requirements
Must have a teamwork spirit at a fast pace working environment.
Reliable attendance and a can-do attitude are essential.
Must have a high level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently. Skilled in customer centricity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Ability to effectively analyze, problem solve, determine the best solutions, and effectively implement using technical and related knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well with others in team environment.
Attention to details and follow-up is important.
