KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for projects in UCTAD.

  • Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. 

  • Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

  • Lead single or multiple capital or major maintenance projects with a financial scope of up to $5 million from conception through commercialization.

  • Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of production equipment and processes that meet sanitary manufacturing standards.

  • Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.

  • Manage site contractors & utility contracts

  • Follow Capital Appropriation guidelines to stay in control of project finances and asset accounting. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • 3+ years of experience in technical, scientific, or engineering roles

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College or University.

  • Experience in Family Care/Personal Care products, processes, and materials a plus

Critical Skills/ Qualifications:


  • Experience supporting equipment installs and start-ups

  • Experience with reviewing and approving CAD drawings    

  • A demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes

  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and effectively communicate with minimal direction
