Process Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize, and problem solve manufacturing and converting processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations.

We are seeking a driven Process Engineer to support  the Wet Wipes Converting assets in Beech Island, SC.  This role will provide leadership and creativity in the design, development, optimization, problem solving and operation of equipment and processes in a manner that meets safety and operational performance expectations.  The individual will report to the Wet Wipes Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:


  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines.  Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

  • Support capital projects and trials that improve Safety, Quality, Capacity or Cost of Manufacturing.

  • Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of production equipment to meet unit objectives and satisfy sanitary manufacturing standards.

  • Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.

  • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, problem solving, and project management.

Qualifications:


  • Position requires a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university. 

  • 3+ years of working experience

  • Incumbent should have the ability and flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7 operation

  • Incumbent should be flexible to travel up to 15% as dictated by business need for meetings, machine install or start-up support, benchmarking, or best practice sharing across KCNA

Preferred (not essential, but desired):


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Evidence of continuing self-development.

  • Ability to network and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
