Job Description

Overview of the Role: 

Provide analytical expertise driving category & consumer centric Pack & Price Architecture projects which deliver multi-year annual net sales value to the Kimberly-Clark business.  Support decision-making with fact-based insights and research across consumer, category, competition & customer.  Partner with key cross functional team members to ensure sound analytics to support retailer sell-in and execution to maximize revenue generation initiatives.  

 

Overall Responsibilities: 


  • Senior Analyst completing multi-sourced analytical recommendations into PPA projects contributing to the 3+ year pipeline of RGM initiatives supporting the delivery of 2%-3% Operating Profit to the business with high quality and within timelines 


  • Identify, compile analysis & drive fast decision making of RGM opportunities via price accretive actions within pack and price architecture  


  • Partner closely with teams to understand brand and customer strategies, and the data to enable those strategies, to maximize PPA objectives 


  • Understand Channel pricing relationships and develop solutions within PPA to reduce channel conflict 



  • Participate & provide input into the evaluation, selection & partnership with primary research vendors with a lens of being a key resource receiving data for PPA analysis 


  • Shape & deliver category price strategy principles to be applied to the brand price strategy:  



  • Product assortment 


  • Pack optimization 


  • Pricing with a focus on SRP & EDLP pricing  


  • Partner with Promotional Optimization team member to support Promotion Strategy by brand (depth, frequency, duration, promoted partners) 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

  • Diagnostic Analytics 

  • Strong analytic skills and knowledge of multiple data platforms and techniques with ability to analyze consumer, category, customer & competitive data 


  • Understanding of customer economics and with the ability to validate via multiple sources & consumer insights the results of modeling tools 


  • Facilitate ideation & hypothesis generation on opportunities to drive revenue via products, packs or pricing 


  • Run multifaceted scenarios in modeling tools complementing with consumer insights, panel data or other fact based data sources to validate results 


  • Primary Research:    

  • Key receiver of RGM primary research with critical input into design and completing data quality checks 

  • Partnership with Insights & Analytics teams to ensure best in class approaches to consumer analytics 

  • Product, Pack & Price Recommendations 


  • Continuously improve the framework & guidelines of a category led PPA recommendation 


  • Complete modeling, validating results and simplifying the story of complex data sets to cross functional teams 


  • Support customer facing PPA recommendations, establishing RGM as a function who drives category growth via facts and build a high level of credibility both internally & externally 


 

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  


  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Preferred: Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or analytics. 


  • Demonstrated Performance:  


  • Demonstrated track record of success across multi-category CPG companies with known quality RGM functions or direct RGM consulting experience across multiple clients. 


  • Exposure across retail channels, including brick & mortar and omni-channel.   


  • Success in completing complex projects partnering cross-functionally within large scale, multi-category businesses (either Insights/Analytics, Cat-Man, Brand/Trade Mktg) which delivered, or exceeded, timeline and results 



  • Strong Analytical skills: Exceptional analytical skills including ability to proactively outline approach & fact base required for a business problem or opportunity.   


  • Strategic Thinking:  Strong conceptual thinking skills and basic understanding of marketing strategies and market research 


  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to actively participate in group discussions with individuals from various functions within the organization. 


  • Leadership skills:  Strength in bringing together multiple functions to achieve results and drive recommendations with Senior Management. 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: 


  • Reports to the Associated Director, Revenue Growth Management PPA    


  • Works closely with Brand RGM Teams, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Insights & Analytics, BU Sales, Top Retail Teams, Brand Finance and Customer Development Finance 


 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 


  • Position is located in Kimberly-Clark’s campus in Neenah, WI 


  • Ability to travel no more that 10% of the time.
