The Director of Critical Care  will be part of a 150 + bed community hospital system that has been recognized for its comprehensive care programs: emergency services, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, geriatric medicine and orthopedics. This hospital has also been recognized as a top performer by the Joint Commission for sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical services. 

The Director of Critical Care will be reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be working closely with the ICU Manager. The Director of Critical Care will also have the opportunity to collaborate with physicians, nurses, clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners. 

The Director of Critical Care will be part of an 18 + bed critical care department that does over 3,500 + procedures per year. The operating suites have recently been remodeled and have the state of the art technology.  

In this position the Director of Critical Care will be responsible for the day to day operations of intensive care, education and emergency services. In this role the Director of Critical Care will be coordinating, directing, planning and evaluating administrative and clinical functions within the critical care department. The Director of Critical Care will be responsible for the fiscal, material and human resources management including the budget. The Director of Critical Care will participate in the development and implementation of hospital policies and regulatory standards.
