Job Description:

JPMorgan Chase Health and Wellness Centers are onsite ambulatory clinics located within 26 of our US corporate campuses. Employees may visit for a variety of services which include urgent/emergent care, travel health consultation, biometric screening, health coaching and health education. By demonstrating excellent assessment skills, extensive clinical knowledge, and an understanding of professional, community, and corporate resources, JPMC Corporate Health Nurses help employees better understand their health needs, make informed decisions, and take the appropriate actions. Through the delivery of professional nursing care, JPMC nurses have the opportunity to develop trusted relationships with employees as well as other key stakeholders in the firm including other health services personnel, business managers, human resources, area physicians, and local hospitals.

Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate Clinical Distinction

  • Provides clinical nursing care for the management of occupational and non-occupational health conditions

  • Adheres toevidence-based, symptom driven established protocols

  • Provides follow-up with employees to ensure efficacy of interventions and directives

  • Coordinates and implements health promotion initiatives including health screenings, health assessments and health-related counseling/education

  • Plans and implements risk based, population - specific health promotion strategies for both group and individual health education

  • Is a certified health coach and offers health coaching programs that reflect adherence to established evidence-based curriculum (may obtain certification within first six months of employment)

  • Provides travel consultations and administers indicated immunizations to maximize the safety of JPMC employees away on business

  • Documents all encounters in the computerized medical record /EHR

  • Performs Workplace Environmental Assessments


  • Facilitates requests for job accommodations

  • Provides exposure assessment and follow up

  • Coordinates daily operations as needed

  • Facilitates ergonomic assessments and assists with workstation modification

  • Establish Client Trust and Respect

  • Develops long term relationships with employees that engender confidence and trust in the care and/or advice provided

  • Demonstrates respect for employees as well as colleagues and JPMC management team

  • Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of all health information

  • Assists with problem-solving focused on decreasing barriers to healthcare access

  • Works collaboratively with EAP, ER, Security, Facilities, Dining Services, LVGs and community partners as well as co-workers in health services

  • Attains high level of employee satisfaction as demonstrated through verbal and written feedback as well as employee satisfaction survey

  • Enhances the demonstration of Return on Investment reporting by accurately documenting all encounter information
  • Ensures efficient use of resources within health services
  • Provides referrals to: Employee assistance programs, health plans: condition management and/ or behavior modification program to optimize employee health and consumerism

  • Balance theclient needs with business needs in processing reasonable accommodations
  • Demonstrates strong team loyalty and collaborates with team members to ensure that coverage is maintained during times of staffing challenges within a cluster of Health centers
  • Serves as a mentor for new corporate health nurses
    • Ensure Operational excellence
  • Participates in clinical nursing audits and identifies strategies for remediation of deficiencies to meet 100% compliance
  • Maintains universal standards for personal protection
  • Maintains OSHA compliance with record keeping
  • Follows all safety and environmental guidelines for storage and use of equipment
  • Disposes of all medical waste according to federal, state and local guidelines
  • Tracks expiration dates of all medical supplies and properly disposes when outdated

  • Qualifications

    License/Certifications:

    • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state(s) of employment and practice

    • BLS certification

    • Certified Health Coach or eligible to complete within 1 year from DOH.

    • BSN and or certification in ambulatory care nursing, or occupational health nursing preferred

    Experience/Proficiencies


    • Five or more years of nursing experience of which 3 years are in emergency room nursing, critical care, occupational health, urgent care or ambulatory clinic

    • Phlebotomy and EKG skills

    • Knowledge of case management, workers' compensation, and governmental regulations

    • Ability to make independent nursing judgments where appropriate

    • Demonstrated critical thinking skills

    • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

    • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic health record software

    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrated ability to adapt working style and work in fast-paced corporate environment

    • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to appropriately escalate concerns to supervisors/ regional managers
