Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

Lead strategic, innovative initiatives, recommend and guide automation and data/digital solutions and processes for the US Business Unit (USBU). Partner with the business and commercial operations to identify data needs, processes, digital tools, and governance that can be leveraged to support cross-functional business needs. Provide thought leadership and technical expertise on evaluating data analytics, tools, and platforms that can be leveraged across the USBU (US Business Unit)

ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Lead multiple projects by collaborating with key data stakeholders across USBU's therapeutic areas and IT team to align on, strategize and architect data solutions for new initiatives, transferring data solutions from legacy systems to new Enterprise Data backbone system(EDB), working with various vendors on data aggregation or ensuring the new data added in EDB environment follow PII, PHI architecture.   

  • Work with the DS&G leadership team to prioritize solutions and create short term vs. long-term roadmap for a project. Gather Business Requirements (BR) and convert BR into technical requirements to help IT during the data modeling phase in the data warehouse's lake, hub, and mart layers.  Document all the data transformations and processes required during the project execution from the BU stakeholders and ensure the IT team implements them.

  • Drive effective business strategy execution from top-down to bottom-up to ensure precise planning and effective communication across all cross-functional teams in commercial operations and USBU.  Work with IT on digitalizing DS&G developed frameworks like access management framework, governance framework, and privacy framework to support USBU Strategy

  • Become a trusted advisor to the DS&G leadership by driving strategic end-to-end business tools. Like working on metadata management Collibra tool to ensure the team maintains metadata for USBU data ecosystem.  Lead the maintenance of Quality Management Tool, help the quality team in maintaining the latest quality checks and ensure IT implements all the checks in the central data warehouse across USBU data ecosystem.  Ensure all the business rules gathered during business requirements are implemented across all CDMS (Central Data management and Strategy) projects.

  • Work with Enterprise IT to understand the ongoing development of new technology, tools, applications.  Ensure the latest technologies are implemented and operationalized across all new initiatives for Content Management, Access Management OneSource, Change Management and Requests Management for all Data Management projects handled by CDMS to assist in achieving Takeda's Key Initiatives. In addition, work with IT partners and DS&G leadership team to develop an enterprise-wide understanding and standard definition of the patient journey and launch activities.

  • Build and own engagement models and charters for Commercial Data Management & Strategy and the USBU to ensure reproducible innovative data collaborations that leverage the right stakeholders to address strategic initiatives to centralize and maximizing data usage across Takeda

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: 


  • Masters Degree in a technical or analytical field such as statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, economics, math, etc.

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in data management and governance and/or Commercial Sales Operations/Analytics experience with demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and explain systems and approaches for customer data and product data to enable business decisions

  • Experience in Data Management, data governance, data modeling, data architecture, and data quality business processes, solutions, methodologies

  • Experience as acting as a liaison IT on data projects

  • Experience managing multiple, complex data projects involving cross-functional teams

  • Experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements and communicating effectively with IT and other business partners

  • Experience in setting up an ecosystem of partners bringing together various sources of data

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

  • Must have experience in workflow/information processing.

  • Experience with AWS and Microsoft 365 environment is a plus
