Position Description:
Micro-Poise Measurement Systems a business unit of AMETEK is seeking a Sold Job/Software Engineering Manager for our Streetsboro, Ohio facility. The Sold Job and Software Engineering Manager leads the engineering department to manage sold job projects as well as technical responsibilities including active involvement in developing new products, identifying customer requirements, meeting budgets, and setting time-lines.

The Sold Job and Software Engineering Manager reports back to upper management and works with multiple and diverse teams. They also set the goals for the team, hire engineers, and prioritize projects.

•Align engineering tasks and projects with company goals and objectives. Oversees progress and timeliness of projects

•Provide expert guidance, support, training and mentoring as needed to the engineering team

•Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

•Responsible for managing external partners/integrators when required per project requirements

•Manage software development plan projects from ideation to execution by setting requirements, goals, and time-lines

•Work with Product Management on strategies to determine market potential for new products based on the company’s overall objectives and resources

•Find and implement projects to achieve Value Added/Value Engineering projects to improve cost-efficiency on Balance, Uniformity and X-Ray machines

•Implement best practice engineering methods

•Provide technical guidance to top management

•Work with field service on reliability and performance of the machines and suggest improvements

•Ensure compliance with AMETEK security regulations

•Implement innovative technologies from concept to testing to production

•Conduct employee performance evaluations

•Work with Purchasing to reduce Excess and Obsolete inventory caused by engineering errors

•Work with Product Management creating road maps of products and systems

Position Requirements:
•BSc in Engineering, MSc in Electrical Engineering is desired

•8+ years of experience in management

•Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development

•Leadership abilities with a strategic mind

•Action/results-oriented mindset

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Excellent project management and supervisory skills

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
