Job Description



Under close supervision, the Seal Repair Technician is responsible for all processes related to disassembly and assembly of less complex rotating equipment. The Seal Repair Technician follows instruction from a Repair job packet and router to perform DCI (Dismantle Clean and Inspect) and gives a written description of the wear and condition of critical components. The Seal Repair Technician will assemble the seal following assembly procedures specific to the product, complete all inspection forms, and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. The Seal Repair Technician will, install all tagging, and prep the seal (primary boxing) prior to moving it to shipping/receiving.







Duties & Responsibilities




  • Assembles, Inspects, tests, and packages Seals or sub - assemblies well working at various stations, machines, test benches.

  • Trouble Shoot Problems during assembly and makes suggestions for corrective actions.

  • Assist when needed with rotating inventory.

  • Completes quality check documents for all Seals repaired.

  • Ensures all required parts for an assembly job are received and in correct condition; receives and issues materials from inventory.

  • Works from specifications, assembly drawings, shipping orders standards or verbal instructions.

  • Receives parts to inventory and picks parts to jobs using hand held scanners. Help solve inventory discrepancies as discovered.

  • Scans completed orders into AS400 system.

  • Help Shipper/Receiver when required.

  • Performs incoming receiving following all branch procedures.

  • Remains aware of safety practices and work in a safe fashion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Individual



Education/Training:



  • High School Diploma

  • Prior repair or assembly experience or equivalent


Knowledge/Skills:



  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Working knowledge of computers

  • Good attention to detail
