We are currently hiring a Sr Manufacturing Supervisor at our Plymouth, MN site. A Day in the Life

As Sr Manufacturing Supervisor, you will coach and supervise a group of Production Associates and Team Leaders in multiple work cells to assure the timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality medical devices.

You will be part of a team of supervisors who:


  • Develop and implement activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Promote an environment of employee empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement through lean principles, compliance, quality, personal growth and development.
  • Use problem solving methods (DMAIC) to continuously improve quality, safety and efficiency of current cells and to implement Cell Operating Systems
  • Provide coaching to Group Lead, Cell Leads and Cell Operating System (COS) Team Leads on Standard Work, Lean Concepts, and Problem-Solving
  • Lead Tier Meetings to facilitate communication and problem solving between support team members.
  • Participate in capacity planning by scheduling production cells, ensuring adequate staffing, verifying adequate material supply and adjusting kanban levels
  • Partner with Finance and Value Stream Manager to manage metrics (efficiency, utilization and rate variances), control spending and resolve discrepancies.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • A High School Diploma AND a minimum 7 years of manufacturing work experience OR An Associate's Degree AND a minimum 5 years of manufacturing work experience OR A Bachelor's Degree AND 3 years of manufacturing experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Previous medical device manufacturing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Coaching skills
  • Ability to motivate and influence a Team
  • Planning/Project Management skills
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, A3, DMAIC)
  • Conflict Management and Interpersonal skills
