The Senior IT Business Analyst in this role is responsible for guiding end users and project sponsors through the process of analyzing, clarifying and documenting business requirements and process flows.  The incumbent will translate those requirements into an optimal business solution design, create supporting functional requirements, and communicate them to the technical resources of a project for implementation.  This position serves as a communication bridge between business and technical resources throughout an initiative to ensure the delivery of a successful solution.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Guide project requestors through creation of project scope, business requirements, and business process flows. Assist users with testing scenarios and scripts


• Create simple, flexible, efficient, and effective solution designs (processes and functional requirements) to satisfy project objectives


• Actively listen and effectively communicate with business and technical resources, identifying gaps in communication and leading problem solving activities


• Lead projects, solutions and/or processes of low to medium complexity through initial phases of the software delivery lifecycle


• Collaborate with sponsors to plan initiatives, create project budgets, build business cases, clarify cost/benefit proposals, define project objectives, and establish resource requirements for projects

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business, IS, or IT with 5+ years of professional experience OR Bachelor and Master’s degree in Business, IS, or IT with 4+ years of professional experience.


• Technical IT certifications preferred.  

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is expected, less than 10%.
