About the Role


The Viskase IT department is seeking a skilled Senior SAP Business Analyst with expertise in Sales and Distribution (SD) functional module to join our mid-market global manufacturing company. As an SAP Business Analyst for Sales and Distribution (SD), you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our business processes and ensuring the efficient operation of our SAP system across eleven plant locations. With a deep understanding of SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 Hana, you will be responsible for supporting our operations teams in identifying opportunities for process optimization that can be modeled in SAP or advising on the development of new business processes and documentation.


 


Essential Responsibilities



  • Utilize your expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module to support and optimize the order-to-cash cycle business process.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities for business process optimization within the SD module.

  • Provide guidance and expertise in the configuration and maintenance of the SD module, including SD Master Data, SD Basic Functions, SD Sales, SD Shipping, SD Transportation, SD Logistics Execution, SD Foreign Trade, SD Billing, and SD Sales Support.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Sales and Distribution, participating in projects and initiatives related to the SD module.

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop appropriate training documentation and train system users on newly created SAP business process transactions related to Sales and Distribution.

  • Participate in the support and maintenance of the current global SAP implementation, ensuring system reliability and stability which includes configuration of SD and other modules along with debugging and troubleshooting systems issues.

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for business process optimization that can be modeled in SAP or assist in the development of new business processes and associated documentation.

  • Develop functional and technical specifications, in conjunction with business partners, for system enhancements and to define Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the SAP environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP with other modules such as WM, FICO, MM/PP, etc. and other business systems and platforms.


Education and Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree; Information Technology or Computer Science field preferred or equivalent work experience. SAP certifications are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Business Analyst, specializing in the Sales and Distribution module.

  • Minimum of three full SAP lifecycle implementation projects as a lead SME.

  • Extensive expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 is required and experience in S/4 Hana is preferable.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar industry, preferably with exposure to mid-market global operations.

  • Strong expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module, with knowledge of SD Master Data, Basic Functions, Sales, Shipping, Transportation, Foreign Trade, Billing, Logistics Execution and Sales Support.

  • Experience using data load and workflow tools such as Winshuttle preferred.

  • Experience with SAP Query or Ad Hoc reporting preferred.

  • Proven ability to analyze business requirements, conduct gap analysis, and propose effective solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues promptly.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • A proven track record of engaging co-workers to develop new knowledge and skills in a multicultural context.

  • Ability to work on enhancements, break-fix, and major projects – occasionally at the same time.

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment with strong attention to detail, self-motivation, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

  • Be a service-minded team player who has experience advising business colleagues toward feasible solutions.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Willing to travel occasionally, some international.
