As a Product Owner based in Austin, Texas you will work alongside a team of talented software developers and hardware engineers.   • Provide the voice of the customer to the team to ensure they understand how the work they are doing relates to the needs of the business and our customers.
  • Collaborate with your team to define the team’s objectives and ensure the team remains focused on meeting those objectives.
  • Work with product managers to define features for development in the future.
  • Own the team’s backlog and prioritize user stories to meet the needs of the business and our customer in the most effective way possible.
  • Identify, manage, and coordinate dependencies with other teams.
  • Actively seek feedback from business stakeholders and relay it to the team.

 WHO YOU ARE:

  • Customer focused with a solid understanding of the process control industry and how control systems are utilized by our customers.
  • A balanced decision maker who looks at situations from many different perspectives before making an informed decision.
  • Good at planning and prioritizing the work needed to meet commitments and can rally a team to meet those commitments
  • A good communicator with the ability to communicate with clarity technical and non-technical information to a wide range of audiences
  • A negotiator who can negotiate in a win-win environment

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the process control industry
  • Solid domain knowledge of process control and the application to control systems
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Experience in developing products that integrate software on multiple platforms with proprietary hardware
  • Experience with ISO-certified processes and audits, secure lifecycle development, and/or development of products for use in a SIL environment
