Responsible for leading, managing and directing Replenishment Buyers or Procurement Specialists. Activities include all buyer or specialist related Procurement processes, purchase order revisions, purchase order resolution, purchase order expedition, assisting with supplier returns and executing all Procurement policies and processes. Additional responsibilities will include defining best demonstrated practices and standardizing processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the effective performance of the assigned Procurement functions.
Ensures all Procurement processes are followed, errors or discrepancies are promptly reviewed and resolved.
Support & Implement Corporate initiatives.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel, direct reports, and with management.
Participate in personnel decision making including onboarding and training of new associates
Develop Associate career path.
Provide leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
Ensure personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
Keep management informed of area activities as well as any areas of significant concern.
Develop, streamline and implement processes and procedures to meet evolving business needs.
Assist and support related departments as required.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, operations management, engineering or related field preferred
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of procurement and/or supply chain experience
Experience working with suppliers and/or customers
Supervisory experience preferred
System Implementation Preferred
Knowledge:
competency level in MS Office applications
Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems
Strong understanding of Procurement, Logistics and inventory management practices
LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems preferred
Understanding of purchasing policies and procedures
Skills/ Abilities:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to lead, train and supervise others
Relationship management skills
Excellent analytical skills
Experience in taking initiative and making appropriate, timely decisions.
