Role Description
Salesforce is looking for a talented and dynamic Manager to join the Revenue Operations team to support our team's strategy, growth, process excellence and innovation.
We are currently seeking a highly effective Manager with a passion and proven track record for success in financial process re-engineering, business control design, SOX controls, managing timely performance of controls. This role requires strong business acumen, and the ability to apply that business knowledge and know-how into the very systems, process or reporting solutions that are proposed and delivered.
The ideal candidate is expected to drive change, think independently, clearly communicate and support a point-of-view and recommendations, lead SOX risk assessments, readiness and process/control improvement initiatives, and exercise influence to drive action in a cross-functional environment. A highly effective professional with a passion and proven track record for success in financial process improvement, innovation, and operational transformation is desired. This role requires strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and the ability to transform that business knowledge into actionable solutions.
Your Impact
Manage the execution of all phases within a project's lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality work, including managing project status, prioritization dashboards and reporting
Support a changing organization, drive process improvement - we are strategic advisors to the Revenue Operations organization, and beyond!
Prioritize trust over all else to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
Work with current functional teams within the organization to review current processes and identify risk areas and areas for improvement and design controls around these to reduce risk and exposure to avoid operation surprises
Monitor functional teams for compliance to outlined processes and ensure that all key controls are being performed satisfactorily
Work effectively in a dynamic, high growth environment - comfortable in cross-functional roles and skilled in stakeholder alignment
Think quickly and creatively, recognizing interrelationships early and enabling innovation
Support/execute Sarbanes Oxley initiatives for emerging areas [e.g., acquisitions, system implementations (incl. application of emerging tech such as RPA), changing regulatory guidance]
Experience designing, implementing and testing internal controls for financial reporting (ICOFR) per the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in response to identified risks. Proactively anticipate customer needs/opportunities for involvement (i.e., think ahead of the curve and outside the box)
Drive breakthrough solutions, inspire shifts in mindset, and create the momentum to help excel Salesforce to $30 billion and beyond
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or Computer Science
6+ years of accounting related or consulting experience, high tech industry a plus
Strong background in accounting/finance, IT SOX, and/or process improvement
Big 4/public accounting/management consulting experience is preferred Strong analytical and decision making skills
Knowledge/experience with key business processes in a cloud technology company (e.g., Quote-to-Cash, Revenue, Compensation)
The ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal departments, including those in international locations, IT personnel, internal and external auditors
A willingness to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement through change and new ideas
Demonstrated success in developing and executing against project plans for "first of kind" projects and thinking "out of the box"
The ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) points-of-view, recommendations to key stakeholders, and regularly to key stakeholders
Experience in large-scale system implementations
Strong project management skills and experience
Preferred Requirements
CPA, CISA, and/or PMP a plus
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence, interact and partner effectively with cross-functional and remote teams
Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to changing business and technical environments
Self-motivated and able to manage change
Strong multi-tasking skills and thrives in a high-growth and challenging environment
Ability to work well both independently and with teams
