The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with the oversight of daily operations of Med/Surg and for the development and coordination of activities that promote clinically effective and efficient patient care. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager plans, organizes, and directs patient care activities as delegated by the Nurse Manager and Nurse Director and collaborates with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Director in maintaining the operational aspects of the clinical unit, supervising and evaluating assigned personnel. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager consults and collaborates with other health care team members to provide safe appropriate patient care.
This position reports to the Nurse Director, Medical Surgical Services and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Bachelor of Science from an accredited school required
Current Massachusetts's licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
Minimum of three (3) years current clinical nursing experience required
CPR training required, ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
De-escalation training required within 6 months from date of hire
Leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, including proficiency in emergency situations and quality improvement processes required
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, team building, collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving, as well as oral and written communication skills required
