A Platform Engineer is needed in Lafayette IN through Belcan Workforce Solutions. You will be responsible for complex analysis work, identifying design problems and resolutions. To qualify for this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent analytical skills and a mastery of engineering concepts. Job Description:

* Act as a Platform Engineer performing complex analysis, identifying design problems and resolving those problems
* Communicate technical information in a concise and accurate manner
* Make decisions that affect the project team and delivery of project, significantly impact negotiations with suppliers, leveraging new technologies, warranties, costs, sales and customer perception

Required Skills:
* Bachelors Degree in accredited Mechanical, Aeronautical, Agricultural or Industrial Engineering curriculum
* 5+ years of experience
* Component design experience
* Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Continuous Product Improvement)
* Excellent analytical skills
* Ability to perform complex assignments
* Experience with engine performance/software
* Experience working on large gas or diesel engines, particularly mining trucks and/or gensets
* Engine BOM configuration and systems integration experience
* Teamcenter experience
* Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
