Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager - Execution will be responsible for the procurement and performance of Bunge's North American B2B Oils transportation assets including truck and barge fleets. This role will work closely with the Bunge rail team to drive rail fleet performance within the B2B business. The Manager will be responsible for steering significant and sustainable results by propelling a professional team of employees to find new ways to use the logistical assets in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.
Lead the team managing inbound and outbound oil freight moves for all the Bunge North American packaging plants and 3rd party suppliers
Establish, implement, track and drive improvement upon transportation service and cost metrics
Select, negotiate and manage agreements with freight carriers ensuring optimal cost and service levels
Manage relationships with truck and barge logistics companies and serve as the immediate go to when transportation issues occur at customer/Bunge facilities
Support and actively participate in meetings with railroad representatives to communicate service concerns and issues
Analyze current shipment patterns for improved pricing and/or transit time opportunities and work with Bunge Rail Pricing team to coordinate the communication of pricing and tariff changes on affected lanes
Ensure that Railtrac program is maintained and kept current for refined oils fleet, and provide support to other oils team members on training on the system
Manage import bulk oil storage agreements
Efficiency and cost champion for freight assets
Key member of the Integrated Business Process for the B2B oils business
Manage and execute significant project work as directed by supply chain director
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a Logistics related field
5 - 8 years of experience in a related field with 3-5 years in supervisory/mgt. role
Requires the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to set goals, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and conflicting objectives
Problem solver and quick/accurate decision maker
High level proficiency in SAP/MRP/TMS and Microsoft Excel
Interfaces well across the organization
