OVERVIEW

The Traffic Coordinator’s primary focus is to support and assist the Traffic Manager by maintaining the following traffic components: Traffic Calendar, Program Log, promotional spreadsheets, studio use requests, and recording requests. They also support the Director of Sets & Lighting with various projects regarding remote and competitor broadcasts, including scheduling, screenshots, and archive video files.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Create and maintain the daily Program Log for ShopHQ and Shop Bulldog, including assigning airtimes to promotional products and videos, and monitoring competing product airtimes.


• Send out requested video clips to various internal or external partners via DVD or digital files, including Snapstream, Autocue, and editing with Adobe Premiere.


• Create and maintain guides outlining Traffic processes and equipment usage.


• Maintain the Media Library and online video storage files, including saving digital files or physical media as necessary.


• Create monthly Traffic promo spreadsheet and maintain promo calendar, including assigning promo numbers and updating changes made to promotional schedule.


• Enter and schedule individual promo cuts and track show changes for rebanners.


• Capture screenshots and/or videos from remote broadcasts for various departmental projects.


• Update the daily Traffic Calendar and Outlook invitations when the Traffic Manager is unavailable.


• Attend morning Broadcast meeting and send out recap to communicate daily tasks and upcoming show needs if Traffic Manager is unavailable.


• Create and update remote broadcast schedules as needed.


• Help the Sets & Lighting team with various projects on the floor if needed.


• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience in a related field


• Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel


• Strong problem-solving and communication skills


• Able to prioritize and work efficiently to keep up with the fast pace and spontaneity of ShopHQ


• Experience with video editing software preferred


• Experience within a TV environment preferred
