JOB SUMMARY:
Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Plant Manager for our Midway, GA location. The Plant Manager will manage and coach the leadership team to deliver month-over-month improvements through disciplined execution of the strategic plan and a 'win the day' mentality driven by metrics. He/she will be measured on both financial and non-financial indicators directly related to safety, profitability, quality, on-time delivery, and employee engagement. The incumbent must be able to develop and execute a strategic portfolio of projects to mitigate or eliminate environmental and safety risk, improve first-pass-yield (FPY), increase productivity, and reduce cost.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensures safety, quality, production and financial goals are met within the guidelines set out by the Vice President of Operations.
• Drive EHS & housekeeping (5S) culture and accountability into daily operations and ensure all EHS requirements are met in keeping with the company's proud legacy of attention to safety and the environment.
• Focus on quality issues by identifying problems in the manufacturing flow, research and analyze potential alternatives that utilize Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing concepts, and effectively implement solutions.
• Establish short and long term productivity (OEE) and throughput improvement plans for operations through daily interaction with Production Managers, Production Shift Supervisors and hourly employees.
• Consistently track and trend operations results, while constantly focusing on planning for the future state of the facility.
• Understanding the capability of the current equipment. Research options for new equipment that can be purchased utilizing capital expenditures. Evaluate existing equipment for potential upgrade keeping consistency and standardization at the forefront.
• Must contribute to the achievement of the manufacturing operating plan by managing operating costs, material costs and productivity. This includes the development of annual operating budgets, cost reduction strategies and efficiency improvements to support the financial goals of the organization.
• Operate in a fast-paced setting with ever-changing and multiple priorities while developing the highest standards of safety quality, cost & service.
• Partners with HR Manager to ensure alignment between people initiatives to operational goals and provides leadership, direction and coaching to ensure a competent and engaged workforce. Effectively communicate initiatives and foster an environment of collaboration and cooperation.
• Work with management to make certain objectives are clearly understood and communicated throughout the facility.
• Implement and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead by example and ensure the highest of standards and expectations are met.
• Constructs compelling development plans with annual reviews for direct reports. Ensures capable succession plans are in place.Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 7-10 years of management experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Lean Manufacturing
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or relevant Engineering discipline.
