Our IT, InfoSec, Cyber Risk & Business Ops team - is in the business of trust and reliability. We create, maintain and operate scalable technology and data solutions that deliver an exceptional experience for our internal & external customers. This requires a smart, highly collaborative team who can identify, investigate, and implement new technologies to continue securely scaling our global business.


This position
The Data Security Manager is responsible for driving the security assessment program designed to identify and mitigate security risks as they relate to data. This position will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve technology and data security protocols.


This position reports to the Director, Risk Management.


Responsibilities



  • Protect sensitive data and assets by monitoring data in motion, in use and at rest

  • Implement and manage data loss prevention technologies for on-premises and SaaS applications

  • Triage DLP and CASB events and assess suspicious activities related to data loss

  • Support Incident Response teams in data loss related investigations

  • Map data security flow diagrams to provide visibility on where sensitive data lies and how it's adequately secured

  • Reviews and analyzes complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations

  • Ability to identify data security risks as they relate to the business and data privacy

  • Ensure security controls are correctly applied to systems, applications and platforms housing sensitive and critical data

  • Conduct data security assessments to ensure and validate the security posture of the organisation

  • Provides direction and guidance on reports and analyses and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/business needs and capabilities

  • Act as data security advisory and establish strong relationship with other data functions within the organisation (data privacy, governance and management)



Basic Qualifications



  • 8+ years of data security experience

  • Hands-on technical experience with configuring and troubleshooting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and CASB tools

  • Experience with managing a data protection program



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science or related fields, with relevant / direct industry experience in Security

  • One or more of these certifications: CISM, CISA, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, AWS/Azure Security

  • Technical skillsets in one or more Security areas

  • Working experience in Data Privacy

  • Working experience in Cloud Security

  • Strong understanding of security controls and how they should be implemented across applications, systems and internal/cloud platforms

  • Strong analytical thinking and investigative/problem solving capabilities

  • Proactive self-starter, ability to take initiative, learn quickly and drive operational excellence
