Job Description:



Directs, coordinates and manages the material movement, production planning, record integrity and core transactions at the remanufacturing facilities. This position serves as the site’s focal point for material issues between internal departments, suppliers, customers and corporate supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, organizes, directs, expedites and controls activities related to the inventory planning, supply chain and record integrity functions.

• Identifies, develops and implements material planning system changes that will improve customer service, reduce inventory investment and/or make the material planning function more efficient.

• Manages an effective production scheduling system

• Manages Net Working Capital

• Manages core related transactions to ensure high level of inventory accuracy

• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability.

• Manages and monitors inventory reporting systems to meet company requirements across all departments

• Directs consistent improvement in delivery performance and exceed planned commitments and individual customer expectations.

• Maximizes customer fill rates while minimizing asset investment.

• Leads in the development and implementation of improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives. safety, quality, delivery, productivity & inventory accuracy,

• Maintains excellent customer relationships in meeting their expectations regarding lead times and delivery.

• Champions site annual physical inventory activity.

• Provides on-going support for union-free environment through accessibility, responsiveness and consistent application of policies/procedures.

• Develops and leads an effective management team across all functions.

• Develops direct reports for achievement of goals and advancement through goal setting, training and coaching.

• Develops good working relationships across the supply chain function to accomplish goals

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, materials management or related field with 5 to 7 years’ experience preferred.

• Leadership training plus three years of staff leadership in multiple functions including materials.

• Strong knowledge of business operations, particularly inventory control, planning, logistics and operations management.

• Project management training preferred

• Prefer APICS certification or related experience

• Remanufacturing experience preferred.

• KANBAN / LEAN experience

• Computer Skills:

o Microsoft Office

o MRP / Forecasting Systems.

• The Plainfield facility has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had one or more years experience in the position or similar position.
