Job Summary

Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of the core financial systems, data warehouse system and data, and corporate reporting tools within Management Accounting. Under moderate supervision, collect, analyze and present financial information to help management make sound business decisions and realize profit objectives. The ability to leverage the appropriate financial tool for the information and analysis needed is required. Must deliver thoughtful, accurate and precise analysis of financial data regarding corporate real estate activity, including accounting, operations, and leasing. Must effectively incorporate both fact and intuition into financial analysis necessary for governance of third party real estate service providers. Provide accounting support, as described under Job Accountabilities, to one of the major financial reporting or accounting (G/L Management, Reconciliation & Control or Accounts Payable) areas in the Corporate Controller's Group. Provide thoughtful, accurate and precise analysis of data, effectively incorporating both fact and intuition into analysis and decision making. Develop and maintain spreadsheets/statistical models for financial analysis. Exhibit effective communication (including oral, written, and graphical), team work, and leadership skills.Specific duties can include:- Monthly cost assignment analysis based on current results to ensure accuracy- Performing costing related studies to align the Bank's activities to the products & services they support- Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for input into profitability model- Variance analysis and commentary- Design and create reports for customers- Conduct financial research and analysis to provide customers with accurate financial data and advice for their use in setting and realizing corporate real estate objectives- Prepare components (e.g. footnotes, schedules) including supporting documentation for SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, internally reported financial information and bank or legal entity reporting, and/or other externally reported financial information- Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly and year end closing process.

Job Accountabilities


  • Model & operational processing, validation & maintenance.

  • Assist with the preparation and/or review of legal entity regulatory reports for OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, and other regulatory bodies (FR2900s, bank call reports, regulatory applications, other regulatory reports, etc.) to comply with GAAP/PCAOB and other regulatory guidance.

  • Communicate & present in an effective, concise manner.

  • Ad hoc analysis & miscellaneous requests.

  • Report development & generation.

  • Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and annual corporate and legal entity data (financial statements, board report data, management reporting packages, investor presentations, etc.).

  • Assist with the month-end close process (where assigned) by reviewing and resolving any exceptions to general ledger identified through financial analysis performed on assigned entities, including preparation of reports provided to management concerning this financial analysis.

  • Develop technical and research expertise with regard to GAAP, FASB, SEC, Regulatory, and other regulations. Assist in the interpretation and/or implementation of new regulations or accounting standards into accounting systems, SEC or regulatory reporting products.

Education


  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or MIS. Experience in the key results areas and competencies, in lieu of education. Required

Experience


  • 3-5 years Financial Services Industry Required
