As a Manager of Internal Sales in Individual Life Insurance, you will develop and inspire a team of inside sales professionals to drive life insurance sales. The Manager will help set strategic direction for the Institutional and/or Independent sales channels and provide innovative leadership to design and implement ideas and processes that will increase sales results and improve sales team efficiencies. Our inside sales teams support the sales activities of our external sales force on a channel and geographic basis.

Ideal candidates will possess a proven track record of success in leadership, talent development and sales results as well as dynamic communication skills and a strong collaboration attitude. The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:


  • Develop, coach and lead a team of 10-15 individuals

  • Execute full supervisory responsibilities for individuals under direct supervision

  • Drive sales results through Internal Wholesaler activity

  • Effectively anticipate, plan and maintain appropriate staff levels

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring and retaining a talented and diverse sales team

  • Partner with various teams across Individual Life Insurance, including Sales Operations, Sales Training, Strategic Relationship Management, Marketing, Product Development, and our sales leadership to drive business objectives.

  • Monitor and enhance the effectiveness of sales team through learning and development strategies and candid and motivating performance feedback

What you’ll need:


  • Demonstrated leadership competencies, including the ability to create a climate in which employees feel engaged, energized and enabled, build highly collaborative relationships, and influence performance

  • Proven knowledge of consultative sales approach

  • Demonstrated success in marketing and selling investment products

  • Excellent coaching, development, and training skills

  • Professional presence and proven presentation skills

It’d be a plus if you had:


  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and life insurance products

  • Strong organizational skills and able to stay abreast of rapidly changing information

  • Ability and willingness to deal with change and ambiguity

  • Must exercise sound judgment, discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times

  • FINRA SIE and Series 6/7 registration or ability to obtain within 120 days from date of hire

  • FINRA 24 or 26 strongly preferred (required to obtain within 180 days)

  • State life insurance license preferred

  • Some travel will be required

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $107,200.00 to $159,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
