Position Purpose:

Responsible for tracking inventory and maintaining accurate inventory records and able to research any discrepancies.  Display a strong understanding of the equipment he/she uses, the location of product, and the lay-out of the warehouse, slot location, lost sales, mis-picks, pack size and all other applicable product information.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:


  • Attends start up meeting.

  • Monitors product velocity and tracks lost sales and in-house damages.

  • Initiates date checks, periodic cycle counts ad out lines in SOX requirements, as well as quality checks and customer service verifications.

  • Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and back stock verification.

  • Processes return to vendor request.

  • Basic Slotting.

  • Completes recalls as needed.

  • Completes tobacco and oil counts as outlined for state requirements.

  • Alerts management of potential safety problems or violations.

  • Keeps area clean and debris out of work area, remove damage and take to damage area.

  • Tracks expiration dates.

  • Tracks food bank and salvaged product.

  • Returns all equipment used to appropriate spot at the end of the shift.

  • Immediately informs a supervisor, or manager of any potential safety violations or violation of company policy.

  • Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.


  • Effective communication and coordination exist with Company personnel and with management.  Assistance and support are provided as needed.

  • Deadlines are meet.

  • Must learn 3 jobs and go where work is assigned daily.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:


  • High School Diploma/GED Certification and/or equivalent related experience.

Required Knowledge:                   


  • Understanding of Safety guidelines.

  • Strong knowledge of the RF systems. 

  • Understanding of PPLEX system. 

  • Understanding of all paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory.

  • Have an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.

Experience Required:                   


  • Capability of being licensed and operating powered industrial equipment.

Skills/Abilities:                                  


  • Strong communications skills; both written and oral applications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take initiative.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.

  • Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding; subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations.

  • Able to read and communicate in English.
