In this role you will:
Create the documentation for each process and workstation in a given manufacturing department.
Responsible for coordinating and training employees and contract associates on all manufacturing processes in the department.
Maintain training and validation records in all processes ensuring a flexible workforce.
Assist New Product Introduction with training and documentation of Standard Work Instructions prior to transitioning to production.
Perform and review time studies on processes to reduce cycle time and improve cost.
Investigate and root cause workmanship quality issues.
Write and post operator alerts.
Additionally you:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Must be able to work with light fabrication equipment.
Must be willing to be flexible and cross-trained between various positions and sometimes shifts in the operation based on business needs. Provide backup support as necessary.
Must learn, adopt and train all lean principles including kaizens, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and waste reduction.
Need the ability to identify a problem and find resolution.
Qualifications:
Excellent computer skills using the Windows Office and Google Office suites.
Minimum 3 years experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience training and creating documentation in a manufacturing assembly environment preferred.
Flexibility to work a different shift for short periods to facilitate training curriculum preferred.
Knowledge of lean principles including kaizens, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and waste reduction is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management needed.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
