Job Summary

Sheldahl a leading provider of Specialty Films for the Aerospace, Medical and Commercial Aviation markets, has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to join our friendly team in our easily accessible, Northfield, MN location - just minutes from the metro area.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
•    Provide timely cost estimation and project budget definition; recommend pricing, estimate lead time; and leverage team to determine alternatives. 
•    Responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations with both new and existing customers.
•    Review new applications and provide technical support, participate in internal and external meetings to help gain a better understanding of customers’ requirements.
•    Keep apprised of applicable applications, quality and regulatory standards. 
•    Participate in contract review and price negotiations. 
•    Ongoing margin analysis identify potential necessary price adjustment opportunities and cost reduction projects, participating on teams as needed.
•    Participate in the creation & maintenance of technical documentation. 
•    Manage the coordination of product life cycle activities with team which includes account management, customer service, purchasing, operations and quality on customer matters such as Product Development, Launch, Inventory and EOL management, Expedite Requests, Raw material issues, Non-conformances etc.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
•    Effective technical communicator, verbal and written
•    Four-year Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
•    PMP preferred
•    7-10 years Product Engineering or Product Management experience 
•    Be well versed in Advanced Technical Materials (Aerospace and Defense preferred) 
•    Self-starter
•    Trouble shooting/ problem solving skills
•    Computer savvy, quick learner 
•    Open to travel
