As a Test and Evaluation Engineer Co-op in McKinney, TX, you will provide technical input and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts.  You will work in a team environment applying your knowledge of engineering principles and the physical sciences to develop new products. 

As a Test and Evaluation Engineer Co-op you will

Design and acquire required test equipment /fixtures from vendors

Conduct product evaluations

Setup and execute laboratory testing

Document tests conducted, results, problems encountered, and the solutions you developed

Participate in global cross-functional teams, including marketing, designers, manufacturing, sales and procurement

Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Junior-level status, or above, working toward a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 

High Mechanical aptitude.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written.

Commitment to a full time (40 hours a week) Summer and Fall co-op experience in McKinney, TX from June 2021 through December 2021.

Fully furnished apartments will be provided to students who are not from the area.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering or Agricultural Engineering preferred.

Prior experience working at Emerson.
