The Role
Korn Ferry is seeking a Data Scientist Intern. The internship will run from approximately mid-May through approximately mid-August. This is a paid, full-time temporary summer internship for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday for approximately 12 weeks.
The role will support the Data Science team to proactively create integrated analytics across Korn Ferry’s solutions and offerings. This would include the creation, compilation, and interpretation across a wide range of talent assessment and development data.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with teams within the Korn Ferry Institute to compile existing analyses and data visualizations or put in requests for content.
Clean, describe, and standardize data for data science projects as well as determine data integrity issues.
Analyze and/or visualize data using R including creating tidy data sets, building predictive models for organizational outcome measures, and automating descriptive analyses and reports
Interpret trends and patterns in data, producing interpretable, meaningful, and compelling insights based.
Create client-facing reports and displays synthesizing data.
Related tasks as needed (analyzing or manipulating data for ad hoc requests, assisting in research, etc.).
Skills & Experience
2 – 3 years of experience with data manipulation, analyzing data, and producing automated reports.
Strong data analysis capability. Ability to interpret, extract, manipulate, and combine data, as well as display data
Knowledge of SQL and standard data science pipelines
Experience using R required (including experience with Shiny and R Markdown)
Knowledge of I/O Psychology or Psychometrics/Quantitative Psychology a plus
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and to manage own time
Big picture thinking as well as good attention to detail. Highly organized
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to document and explain information in a written form, using technical terms and standard English. Strong verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION
Working toward (or completed) graduate degree in Social Science, Business, or Math/Statistics, including graduate level statistics, psychometrics, and/or measurement (although will consider well-prepared Junior/Senior undergraduates as well)
