We are seeking a passionate, collaborative leader who will advance our cloud transformation, which is a key enabler to successfully achieving our vision. This person will oversee the change management of this cloud transformation, ensuring that end users of Best Buy’s new enterprise data platform and tools are fully equipped to leverage the new platform to unleash the power of data, advanced analytics, and machine learning capabilities to transform the customer and employee experience.
The Cloud Transformation Enablement Lead will be an advocate for end users, a creative problem solver, and a leader who can collaborate across teams and disciplines, influencing with and without authority. By overseeing change management, this person will ensure that key user adoption outcomes are achieved. This transformation involves all levels and functions within Best Buy, so the ability to flex between tactical delivery to executive-level collaboration is key to success in this role.
Platform Development and Enablement
Champion the end-to-end user adoption journey (e.g., training, change management, communications) and collaborate with data and analytics leaders to prioritize business needs, successfully ensuring users’ seamless transition to the new enterprise data platform
Foster strong relationships with relevant leaders in order to successfully usher in a lasting impact and effective culture change for the data and analytics community. Example stakeholders may include data development and operations teams, the machine learning user community, digital & technology teams, cross-functional enablement champions, and Google Cloud partners
Strategically identify opportunities to increase adoption, drive learning and development efforts, and develop plans to help users adopt new tools and make recommendations for new features
Assess and recommend innovative approaches to successfully migrate users, focused on delivering the highest business value
Act as a trusted advisor for business transformation by proposing, evaluating, and recommending options to troubleshoot roadblocks and improve user experience
Develop and execute change management plans for all users in partnership with enablement champions (data engineering, infrastructure, app development, and statistical modeling)
Large-Scale Transformation Management
Communicate articulately across formats to influence peers and executives across the enterprise
Develop a user enablement migration strategy with clear needs, dependencies, and priorities
Identify learning needs, develop training curriculums in partnership with Google Cloud partners, and manage training records
Manage a cross-functional change management program; drive program outcomes while maintaining time, scope, resources, and quality
Foster a strong data and analytics community by facilitating user groups and best practice sharing
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or related STEM field
2+ years’ experience leading enterprise transformations in data and analytics, digital and/or cloud technology transformations, or related area
4+ years’ experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams to drive large-scale change impacting both technical and business users
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years’ experience in the retail, direct-to-consumer, or a related industry
2+ years’ experience with varied software delivery methodologies such as product management, agile development, or lean development
2+ years’ experience in program management or a demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into requirements
2+ years’ experience with data and analytics related technologies, such as SQL, R, Python, or BI tools
1+ years’ experience in managing and leading third party partners
