USG is looking for a passionate and highly talented Digital Product Manager to help develop and lead an innovation portfolio within the newly formed Construction Software & Services (CSS) North American Center of Excellence. The candidate will collaborate closely with our Corporate Innovation Center, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, and Business Partners to develop new technology solutions that promote success of our businesses with our customers. This candidate will be accountable for incubating a digital innovation pipeline focused on enhancing the customer experience with new digital products and services, as well as, accelerating the advancement of innovations through market pilots and the commercialization process. Initial focus will be on USG’s Gypsum Business channel customers and ecosystems relevant to the construction industry. Success within this position will be marked by leading the successful rollout of forward-thinking digital solutions to our markets that lead to customer experience advantages. Limited travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
Manage the portfolio of digital investments from ideation through development and commercialization.
Create an innovation approach with the appropriate processes, tools, and metrics to support new construction software growth.
Creating processes and procedures for ideation, prototyping and market opportunity analysis
Sheppard ideas through the innovation process through market pilots, commercialization, and business plans
Define key metrics and measure outcomes that align with business goals.
Establish, oversee, and continuously improve the digital innovation process and capabilities in conjunction with the CIC, IT, Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Partners, and Corporate Strategy
Lead the identification of customer needs/pain points, prioritizing features, and developing roadmaps for digital solutions.
Collaborate with CSS Technology Managers to development digital product solutions that leverage internal and external expertise.
Establish and manage relevant third-party relationships (e.g., technology vendors, consulting firms, start-up community, construction industry influencers, etc.) to advance the CSS’s digital product roadmap.
Build strong relationships with technology vendors and develop digital innovation that aligns with business partner goals.
Assess technology/customer trends in the industry and communicate relevant concepts/implications to our business partners.
Be an advocate and thought leader for technology and innovation for the company.
Leverage the startup community for new ideas and establishing products & service.
Collaborate with shared business functions, CIC, IT and third parties on the preparation and delivery of project/product proposals.
Works closely with delivery teams to ensure development activities align to business partner strategic priorities while also identifying and minimizing risk.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Business, Product Development, or Related Field
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship skills to articulate advanced technical topics and build consensus among senior business and technical stakeholders.
Experience in developing strategy, creating business plans and product management.
Experience with Gypsum Business products and a fundamental understanding of customer needs across the entire purchase journey.
Strong business and technical acumen with ability to command respect at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity leading cross-functional agile teams to drive successful project development on time and on budget.
Experience with design thinking to execute new concepts and direct design for commercially viable products.
Ability to lead others through ambiguity and influence others without direct authority.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing, product development or related roles
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion for emerging technology and its application to meet business needs.
Technical and/or Product Management experience or similar role
Knowledge of USG business, products, customers, and the construction industry
Familiarity with construction related software and ecosystem digital tools (e.g. Autodesk Revit, BIM, and others).
