TITLE: Bilingual Spanish/English Speaking Data Entry Specialist

LOCATION: Ashburn, VA

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM OR Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Role – Who You’ll Work With 

You will work closely with TPG Management, other workers/staff or stakeholders as applicable and in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Office of Refugee Resettlement’s (ORR) Reunification Management Unit.

 

What You’ll Do 

You will support the ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) Reunification Management program and will be responsible for assisting the Reunification Specialists in identifying and vetting potential sponsors to place the unaccompanied children (UC). You will communicate with on-site staff at shelter as well as remote reunification specialists via telephone, Teams, or email to schedule meetings and interviews, review case management files to ensure accuracy, monitor email to receive tasks from Case Managers in a timely manner, assist Case Managers with administrative tasks, including but not limited to: Initiating background checks, including national and/or state sex offender checks; conducting address verifications via Google Earth and Google Maps; scheduling fingerprint appointments; prepping documents for the Case Manager; copying, scanning, and uploading documents to databases; receiving, reviewing, and disseminating mail received pertaining to cases; Support case tracking and reporting by recording case data and milestones in ORR and company systems and perform other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned

The Impact of Your Results – Will speed the unification process, shorten the time UAC remain in ORR care, provide adequate and effective coordination, and mitigate risk for ORR and TPG. 

 

What We’re Looking for 

Key Skills: 


  • Proficiency in operating and maneuvering computers, laptop, smart phones and with knowledgeable use of Social media, and web chat


  • Demonstrated ability to service a diverse group of clients, including refugees or other vulnerable populations


  • Proven experience and high level of comfortability operating technology and learning new software applications quickly 


  • Organized, works with a sense of urgency and is a deadline-driven self-starter; capable of juggling multiple priorities at once and executing each to completion despite obstacles  


  • Aptitude to work cross functionally with TPG personnel and Social Services Agencies to deliver the highest quality of work under extreme pressure and in a fast-paced environment 


  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality​​


Key Knowledge: 


  • Minimum High School Diploma OR four (4) years' experience in a professional setting 


  • Native or near-native oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish 


  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

The Work Environment – Onsite in Ashburn, VA

 

Work Schedule - Due to the importance of this position, employees supporting this contract can be required to work extended hours to include evening work, on-call, and weekends to support time-sensitive or real-time complex services.  This position is considered ESSENTIAL.  This means Data Entry Specialists are required to work during emergency or crisis situations, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc.  

 

Physical Demands - To perform the essential functions of the job, qualified candidates must be able to perform the following: reaching, grasping, hearing/listening, seeing/observing, mobility to walk for extended periods of time, run, carry, load and unload luggage.  Position does require the ability to read written documentation from a computer screen throughout the workday, stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time and drive vehicles, (alert/vigilant of surroundings) for extended periods of time.
