II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Power system Field Services LoB (E&P FS) within Global Field Services entity is the department in Schneider Electric dealing with Energy & Partner (MV & LV) Installed Based Services. It commercializes different types of FS such as maintenance & diagnosis, consulting & optimization and renewal.

As R&D Product Design Leader you will be a part of development and design team; in collaboration with a project manager, you will be in charge of technical requirements (architectures, design, qualification tests description, product testing accordig to IEEE standards, risks analysis, technologies).

In collaboration with our internal entities and the subcontractors, you will be a main contact to validate the technical options, to solve roadblocks and to qualify the deliverables.

This position is accountable for performing a variety of engineering work which may be related to applications; electrical/electronics; mechanical; manufacturing; quality; safety, health & environmental; or software. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors. Electromechanical Engineer (Medium Voltage & Low Voltage applications) - Familiar with standards use - Customer attitude (capacity to listen to clients, understand client needs) - Design experience (Offer Creation Process, ProEng, MDM) - Understanding of product and solutions needs - Capacity on team working

A. Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers and related equipment.

B. Coordinate with various engineering and plant teams to develop solutions within the scope of assigned projects.

C. Develop Bills of Material based on new product designs requirements.

D. Create engineering reports/submittals that clearly address the technical needs of a project.

E. If needed, perform site visits to collect data for necessary new developments.

F. Develop an understanding of company processes as well as applicable codes and standards.

G. Incorporate digital footprint into our new solutions that Services will offer.

H. You will be involved in testing within our SE test labs and external test labs. IEEE and UL testing may be involved, based on product.

Additional future responsibilities include but not limited to: developing engineering solutions for the custom medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and switchboards; equipment retrofills, breaker replacements and unique custom solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS :


  • 4 year degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Design - preferably in electromechanical field
  • 3D CAD experience

Proven experience in the below areas:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on design and project work.


  • Apply problem solving approaches to develop solutions within the scope of a project.


  • Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).


  • Management of overall project delivery and production/installation schedule.
