Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, Full-time, Third Shift, Emergency Room
The Clinical Shift Supervisor assumes the responsibility for ensuring excellent patient care is being delivered, maintaining expeditious patient flow with a focus on customer service, and supervision of nursing staff. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will provide input on staff evaluations and complete evaluations for their regular staff cohort. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will also assist with cost containment, and manage all employees to do the same. The position requires knowledge of leadership and effective interpersonal communication skills.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
Minimum of two to four years of clinical experience in area of clinical specialty.

Manage operational leadership of shift including patient flow and assignment/adjustment of resources to meet dynamic changing needs throughout the shift.

Assist with developing and revising departmental standards, policies, and procedures. Actively identifying opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction, quality of patient care, and staff performance.
Ensure shift practice complies with state and federal medical laws (EMTALA, HIPAA and House Bill 316).
Ensure staff compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and accreditation and licensing regulations.
Maintain hospital-wide and department-specific nursing competencies and complete annual competencies in the required time frame.
