Job Description:

Primary Purpose

The Mobile App Developer will develop front-end products that deliver content to large audiences. This position is responsible for application development and ongoing support for the company's mobile applications.

Key Activities


  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform including mobile, FireTV, and AndroidTV.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.


  • Work with outside data sources and APIs


  • Recommend appropriate concepts to lead implementation of feature development.


  • Analyze and classify change requests, and review and evaluate possible enhancements


  • Analyze and evaluate business and technical requirements


  • Stay on top of the latest technology and recommend new approaches to maximize development efficiency


  • Develop new user-facing features into existing structures.


Skills Education & Experience/Certifications


  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, a related discipline (or equivalent experience)


  • 5 or + years experience in software development


  • 3 or + years experience in Android development


  • Have published one or more Android apps in applicable app store


Skills & Abilities


  • Experience working with Java and Android Frameworks such as Kotlin, rxAndroid, Dagger, and Koin.


  • Experience using a version control system and a CI/CD system (eg: Git, Jenkins).


  • Desired experience: FireTV/AndroidTV development and publishing in applicable stores a plus.


  • Experience in designing for large scale enterprise application solutions.


  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and familiarity with agile development processes


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


  • Ability to take direction at a high level and accomplish goals without being assigned specific tasks.


  • Troubleshooting skills.


  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams


  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
