Job Summary



This position will lead a variety of medium-to-large projects within the Healthcare Analytics Solutions Portfolio. Healthcare Analytics Solutions is an innovative team that leverages Quest data assets to enable customers to systematically address strategic imperatives by bringing actionable insights into workflows across therapeutic R&D, diagnosis, and care continuums. This role will focus on leading projects in a portfolio of data and insight solutions that illuminate patient, diagnostic, and therapeutic journeys to a range of clients in pharma/biotechs.


Using agile and Quest Management System (QMS) methodologies, this Project Leader will ensure the portfolio is efficient and effective in the delivery of its services, solutions, and processes while improving customer and employee satisfaction. QMS is Quest Diagnostics' approach to using a set of proven tools and methodologies to drive successful execution of, and results from, key initiatives and day-to-day work. It is the structured way we manage, lead, and solve problems. It is built on 7 practices:

Job Responsibilities



• Manage and optimize the delivery of value in projects, by asking the right questions to ensure strategy and execution alignment by partnering effectively with a diverse team of stakeholders (Project Management, Architecture, Marketing, etc.)


• Leads and owns project execution


• Leads teams through issues and roadblocks


• Is prepared to roll up their sleeves and work through detailed issues


• Acts as a change agent to drive teams toward success


• Owns the timeline, budget, resource constraints, and deliverables / results


• Shifts between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details


• Actively communicates with project sponsors and stakeholders and hosts forums to facilitate regular points of communication with stakeholders and project leaders


• Develops and communicates metrics, status reporting, and other related activities


• Drives continual improvement of project performance and implements changes as necessary


• Over a period of time, being coaching / guiding others in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets



Qualifications/ Job Requirements



• Demonstrated experience leading projects from initiation to completion (6 to 10 years experience)


• Clinical trials and pharmaceutical industry experience preferred


• Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions or workshops


• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with others


• Demonstrated experience leading changes


• Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders


• Demonstrated data analysis skills


• Some experience in continuous improvement


• Some experience with process management


• Basic knowledge of VOC tools


• Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats:formal presentations, meetings, conference calls, e-mails, and memos


• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously


• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Rally (or other agile tool), and Project

Education



• Bachelor's degree required


• Formal training in agile or in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is desired.


• Formal training in project management or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Lean, Theory of Constraints) desired.


• Additional trainings for Quest specific approaches may be required within the first 6 months of entering into the role
