Job Summary:

The Finance Intern provides meaningful support for Victor’s Finance team which consists of General Accounting, FP&A, A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Revenue and Rebates through a rotation series and special projects.  In addition, soft skills development and networking opportunities provide a well-rounded experience.  At the conclusion of the program, interns share through a formal presentation to senior corporate leadership the impact they made. 

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Perform a rotation through 2-4 functions within the finance department.

  • Assist with the development of reporting solutions and process improvements (i.e. automation) using MS Excel and/or Tableau

  • Work with department functions to complete reporting and analytics related to areas including Revenue & Rebates and Oracle

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Basic skills in Tableau.  Intermediate preferred. 

  • Well organized with attention to detail

  • Excellent project management, organizational, and follow-through skill sets.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities/projects independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations

  • Professional demeanor

Work Environment:


  • Professional office setting with business casual attire

  • Willing to report to work in the Victor, NY office and able to work remotely as required due to COVID-19

Experience:

•     Not required, but prior internship experience is a plus.

Education:


  • Current college student (only those who will still be enrolled in an undergrad/grad program in Fall 2021), majoring in Accounting/Finance, entering at least their Junior year in an undergraduate program  

  • Have completed core coursework in Accounting/Finance and Technology (i.e. Excel, Tableau)

  • Minimum GPA is 3.2
