The Production and Inventory Control Manager (P&IC) is accountable for developing the Production and Inventory Control organization into a world class team, delivering “Best in Class” customer service levels and inventory performance whilst ensuring the lowest possible total cost of ownership.  This position is under Emerson Automation Solutions  and is located in Reno, Nevada. AS AN INVENTORY CONTROL MANGER, YOU WILL: 


  • You will promote effective Health, Safety and Environmental programs and practices, ensuring that high standards of site safety are established and met
  • You will manage, plan, and execute production schedules in a small quantity, high-mix environment to achieve 100% on time delivery
  • You will manage and execute end to end planning, warehousing and replenishment activities required to achieve the production objectives of the manufacturing facility by coordinating and scheduling the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies
  • Develop an ongoing process of review, measurement and maintenance of ERP master data including all replenishment triggers and lead-times
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning sessions, and develop Materials Plans to support organizational goals
  • Provide analysis and metrics while working with other manufacturing plants and strategic supply chain to drive improvements in lot sizes, order frequency, and lead times for all materials supplied internally and externally

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of Materials Management & Inventory Control experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or logistics
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience required with proven ability to manage and develop individuals
  • Experience with MRP systems
  • Ability to influence customers/suppliers and team to adopt standard process
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Degree
  • SAP & Oracle will be plus
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Certification or training
  • APICS CPIM certification, is a plus
