HPE Financial Services is looking for an Analytics Leader to lead the creation and development a new Data Analytics organization (New Data Science focus and enhance our existing BI capabilities).  As our Analytics Leader, you will trail blaze the use of data to optimize the value of relationships, support data driven decision making behind a test-and-learn culture. Alongside this, you will build and lead a Centre of Excellence and manage service integrators where your data analytics team will collaborate with all business and marketing teams to foster a data driven decision culture and maximize ROI for the organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Be a key member of the data leadership team and help articulate and imagine opportunities that we are not yet realising. Act as an evangelist data analytics across the org.


  • Build, lead, develop and retain a market-leading analytics team that supports HPEFS Vision and Aspirations


  • Manage the internal Analytics team, the Service Integrator relationship, as well as partnering with other HPE data scientists


  • Establish highly collaborative ways of working to support the business areas in maximising the value of their data assets with a focus on data.


  • Be a champion and role model for the application of data analytics across the group.


  • Develop a centre of excellence for data analytics to nurture the development of analysts and determine how we can help them have the greatest impact on business growth and profitability


  • Embed data analytics and systematic experimentation methods into the culture of HPEFS


  • Support diverse teams in translating between business and data in the design of project work, and in the synthesis and communication of recommendations and results.


  • Lead the development of rich data visualisation and compelling storytelling to explain trends and help stakeholders to engage with data


  • Collaborate with IT, product and data teams to develop the data technology and platforms that allow us to analyse high quality data. Leverage HPE‘s Data science and BI infrastructure.


  • Encourage best practice for collecting and using data.


  • Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.


  • Support the development of a "data culture" and demonstrating the value of data in our decision making.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong management and leadership skills - including ability to build, organise, motivate, mentor and manage an analytical team that supports a diverse range of initiatives.


  • Exceptional analytical skills and a track record of using data analysis to successfully deliver value and trigger change - being equally comfortable getting hands on and also being strategic.


  • Sensitivity and excellent influencing skills - ability to work with stakeholders across a variety of functions and levels of seniority and to decipher hidden user needs.


  • A commercial mind - ability to understand the commercial imperatives behind the data needs.


  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - particularly strong in explaining and presenting complex data and analytical findings to non-technical audiences.


  • An innovative approach - ability to generate and nurture innovative ideas and solutions and bring them to fruition.


  • Good project management skills - a track record of having established processes to manage multiple competing requirements and resource prioritisation.


  • Experience working with a variety of large-scale data sets such as transactional and web analytics data.


  • Thorough, inquisitive, innovative, 'out-of-the-box' thinking.


Education and Experience Required:


  • Masters or Bachelors in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


  • Exceptional project management skills


  • 3+ years’ experience managing a technical team driving scalable solutions


  • 5+ years Data Science/Machine Learning
