Boise Cascade is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to join our Corporate Human Resources (HR) Team. Salary will be based on experience. Come grow with us!

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with HR and business leaders to focus on execution of HR deliverables. They are passionate about HR process, comfortable with change and data-driven in their decision making. Responsibilities


  • Lead and motivate HR operations/services team by providing day to day guidance that aligns with the overall Company and HR strategy.

  • Proactively collaborate with Center of Expertise (COE) Leaders, HR Leadership Team and HR Business Partners (HRBP) to understand the needs, implement process and systems to continuously meet and exceed the business' needs.

  • Provide direction to customer service, payroll/accounting, systems support, and administration teams.

  • Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for activities across the team and continuously monitor and provide feedback. Ensure all needs are met with a focus on associate experience.

  • Oversight of teams responsible to learn, understand, document, and maintain end to end hire-to-retire process documentation.

  • Analyze HR processes with an eye on efficiency, quality and data-driven decision making. Establish team metrics to be shared organizationally to provide valuable feedback and input on the HR transactional processes.

  • Identify necessary training for end users to increase their effectiveness and ability to use HR systems and tools via self-service model. Partner to implement with HRBPs and COEs as needed.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify opportunities for process improvement and/or automation.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholder teams.

  • Possess a basic understanding of HR compliance regarding employment practices.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement through the mindset and cultivation of Agile practices and principles.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline along with 7-10+ years of experience in a corporate, manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Maintain high levels of communication with leadership.

  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, processes, and applicable compliance issues.

  • Hands-on experience with HR process execution.

  • Comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to audit information and ensure the accuracy of critical data.

  • Results-oriented and demonstrates a high level of ownership and accountability in delivering outcomes.

Preferred Qualification :

  • Previous experience with HR call center/HR customer service or shared services teams.

  • Experience with multiple Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), etc.

  • Previous HR transformation experience a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws, including all federal reporting requirements (pay practices, taxes, EEO-1, AAP, etc.)

  • Strategic mindset with a willingness to be hands on and ensure operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated strong communication/interpersonal & facilitation skills across all levels of an organization, including C-Suite; ability to manage by influence.
