This position develops electrical designs for various aircraft systems. Generate electrical schematics and drawings for components and systems for our existing prototypes and new designs. Lead standardization of electrical components, circuitry, and develop documentation. Additional responsibilities may include connector assembly and wire harness production.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Contribute to aspects of vehicle power system technology development including creating requirements and testing of the subsystem to verify requirements have been met


• Designing aircraft and system level analysis to support component and subsystem development


• Lead test procedure development and test execution


• Develop engineering tools


• Provide electrical engineering support for the aircraft and component tests and custom ground support equipment


• Regular and comprehensive communication to the team


• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 10-plus years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in aerospace electrical design of electrical systems, avionics panels or wire harnesses.


• Proficiency in at least creating and reading electrical documentation


• Broad knowledge of aerospace protections for lightning, emi, connectors, and wire harness design.


• Knowledgeable of prototype documentation, subscale model design, wire harness production or eCAD / ERP integration.


• Expert with electrical systems modeling, certified aerospace systems or aerospace supply chain


• Google G-suite or MS Office, DO-160/Mil-Std-704F, FAA certified design methods, UAV control and propulsion, radio communications, aircraft avionics, electrical EMI shielding and packaging
