Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate daily progress of drivers to ensure consistency and maximum productivity
Monitor drivers to ensure proper time management and timely and accurate delivery of orders
Makes appropriate decisions to ensure that heavy routes are supported so that all stops are completed in a timely manner.
Supervises Same Day deliveries as necessary
Effectively builds relationships with customers to create customer loyalty and encourages all drivers to do the same
Handles difficult customer and employee situations appropriately
Establishes an open line of communication with employees and addresses issues in a timely manner
Communicates with Branch Manager and Warehouse Manager daily regarding issues or concerns
Works independently and manages time appropriately
Covers delivery routes daily
Familiar with all routes for all drivers assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exceptional customer service skills
Outstanding organizational skills
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Able to communicate effectively with customers, drivers and Branch Management with an Ability to converse, read and write in English
Outstanding driving record
Able to lead by example
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 4 years of Driving Experience
Some Supervisory Experience
Current D.O.T Card
License Preferred: CDL Class A or B
