Job Summary

Oldcastle APG, is currently seeking a 3D modeler/designer to work within their expanding Belgard Design Studio division. 

• Converting 2D landscape projects into fully detailed 3D virtual reality renderings which are used for sales/marketing purposes.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships daily.


• Ability to interact with clients which include landscape contractors, architects, specifiers, homeowners, sales reps, etc. 

Requirements

• The position will require a strong working knowledge of CAD/Sketchup/3D modeling software 


• 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling/design industry is preferred.

• 3D Design Software Knowledge
  
  
  
  • Applicant must showcase an ability to accurately convert 2D drawings into detailed 3D renderings. 
  
  
  
  


• Prior experience with design software such as AutoCAD and/or Sketchup is an absolute must. 


• An understanding of Photoshop, InDesign, and other image-based software is also a plus.


• Efficient time management and timely customer service are a must for the position.

Preferences

• 4-year Bachelor or Master’s in digital arts focused degree program

• 
  Artistic Eye – It is imperative that the applicant have a discerning eye regarding details pertaining to landscape design.  While most projects will have a clear a set of guidelines to work from, there will be many opportunities in which creativity will be required to design and create functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.  Graphic design tasks using Photoshop/InDesign for print ads, brochures, and magazines may also be requested on occasion. Proficiency in the Adobe suite of design programs would therefore also be a benefit.

• 
  Project Management – Projects range from small residential outdoor living areas, all the way up to large estates, commercial developments, municipalities, etc.
